To make a reservation for The Hyundai Seoul Christmas village in 2026, book a slot in The Hyundai Hi app (더현대 하이) when round 1 opens on Thursday, November 5 at 11:00 KST. If you don’t have a Korean phone number, skip the app and use the two channels Hyundai announced for international visitors: Klook, or a foreigner-only registration desk at the mall. Last checked: November 4, 2026 (KST).

This year’s village is called “Christmas in New York City.” It opens Tuesday, November 10 in Sounds Forest on the 5th floor of The Hyundai Seoul (더현대 서울) in Yeouido.

How do you reserve The Hyundai Seoul Christmas village in 2026?

Pre-booking for 2026 runs through The Hyundai Hi, Hyundai’s own shopping app and website, with round 1 opening November 5 at 11:00 KST. That is the big change from 2025, when slots were sold on Naver Booking. Dates for later rounds were not in the announcement.

Open the app before 11:00, find The Hyundai Seoul event page, and stay on the waiting screen once you’re in the queue. The 2025 round 1 drew about 45,000 people at once and sold out in roughly 30 minutes, so a late start means no slot. Follow The Hyundai Seoul’s official Instagram for the round announcements.

Korean guides relaying the booking notice report hourly slots from 10:30 (last slot 18:30), opening hours of 10:30–19:30, and up to 4 tickets per account at one ticket per person. None of that appears in Hyundai’s press release — confirm it in the app before you go.

Can foreigners book without a Korean phone number?

Probably not. Hyundai’s FAQ says foreign customers join H.Point (the membership behind the app) only after mobile-phone or i-PIN identity verification. Korean mobile verification normally needs a Korean carrier line in your name, so signup without one is very likely blocked. Hyundai does not say tourists are barred, but don’t spend your one booking morning fighting the signup.

Instead, Hyundai announced that international visitors can pre-book through travel platforms such as Klook. As of November 4, no Klook listing was public — no price, slot times or release date, and no “fast pass” product. Search Klook on November 5 and check again daily. If a listing appears, it is the only way to hold a timed slot before you land in Seoul.

Booking from abroad

Check The Hyundai Seoul Christmas tickets on Klook

If you’re already in Seoul and Klook comes up empty, go in person. Hyundai is running a foreigner-only on-site registration desk for the village. Its location and hours were not in the announcement, so ask at any information counter in the mall and get there early in the day.

What is the 2026 village, and is it worth the wait?

It is worth a long wait for photos and for kids, not for half a day on its own. “Christmas in New York City” is a walk-through photo set of a 1980s–90s New York street: 13 red-brick buildings up to 10 m tall, billboards, neon signs and yellow taxis, told through the story of Baby Bear Harry and the city’s alley cats delivering gifts. Hyundai has run this H Village every winter since 2022, and it passed 1.5 million cumulative visitors through 2025.

Know what you’re queuing for. Korean reviewers of past seasons describe a photo-set village inside a department store, not a European Christmas market — no street-food stalls, one small goods shop. One reviewer who brought a French friend noted that the loop takes about 10 minutes if you don’t stop for photos.

Entry was free in previous seasons and is reported free for 2026 — check the booking page. Previous seasons ran through December 31, and this one is expected to as well, though Hyundai’s announcement gives no end date.

How long is the walk-in wait at The Hyundai Seoul Christmas village?

In 2025, walk-in waits ran from 5 minutes to about 5 hours, and the date mattered more than the time you showed up. About 70% of 2025 visitors came in as walk-ins rather than pre-booked, with roughly 2,500 visitors a day and 200–300 people per slot.

The 2026 walk-in waitlist again uses QR codes on floors 2–4. Everything else below is how it worked last year: in 2025 the QR registration opened at 11:30 near the escalators, took up to 4 people per entry, and — per reviewers — only worked within about 200 m of the building with location services on. You then got a KakaoTalk message when your turn came. Hyundai has not announced the 2026 start time or alert method, so check the notice at the mall; if KakaoTalk is used again, set it up before your trip.

Source: Korean reviewers’ posts from the 2025 season. In 2024, a reviewer who registered at 11:30 sharp got No. 31 and was called within 18 minutes — register the moment the waitlist opens. A 2025 reviewer reported having about 10 minutes to reach the entrance after the call, so don’t wander far.

What Korean visitors wish they’d known

Getting through the gate is only the first line: inside, every photo spot had its own queue. Nine Korean reviewers of past seasons flagged it. In 2025 they reported about 10–20 minutes per spot on weekdays, 20–30 minutes on weekends, and 30–60 minutes for the single most popular cabin.

  • In 2025, skip the entrance tree on the way in. In 2025 the longest line was at the main tree by the entrance; reviewers looped the village first and joined that line on the way out, and staff directed people the same way.
  • Go on a weekday morning for short lines, in the evening for the lights. Reviewers who went on weekday mornings barely queued at photo spots; others said the lights look better after dark.
  • Don’t wait on your feet. The standard move in 2025 was to register, then shop, eat at the 5F cafes near the entrance, or walk by the Han River until the call came.
  • Check your lane at the gate. Booked guests and walk-ins used separate lines. Booked guests lined up 10–30 minutes before their slot and showed the booking screen.
  • Dress in layers. With the crowd, it gets warm inside.
  • In 2025, dogs had to stay in a carrier. In 2025, pets had to stay inside a carrier the whole visit, even for photos, and pet strollers were not allowed.
  • Budget for the shop, not the entry. A plush bear cost about 65,000 won in 2025.

Reviewers of the 2025 season spent 30 minutes to 2.5 hours inside, depending on how many photo lines they joined. One reviewer found two photo zones closed for safety on a busy weekend evening with no notice — book an earlier slot on weekends.

How do you get to The Hyundai Seoul by subway, and what does parking cost?

Take the subway to Yeouido Station (여의도역), Lines 5 and 9, and use Exit 3: an underground moving walkway runs about 500 m to the mall’s B2 entrance, so you stay out of the cold. Exit 4 is about 400 m at street level to the main entrance. From Yeouinaru Station (여의나루역), Line 5, Exit 1 leads to the rear entrance in about a 10-minute walk.

The address to show a taxi driver is 108 Yeoui-daero, Yeongdeungpo-gu (서울 영등포구 여의대로 108). The mall’s main number is 1588-3650.

Don’t drive. Parking at the mall is free for the first 30 minutes, then 2,000 won per 10 minutes; purchases unlock free time (1 hour with 50,000 won or more, 2 hours with 100,000 won, 3 hours with 150,000 won). A 4.5-hour stay with no purchase costs 48,000 won, and Korean reviewers who waited out a walk-in reported paying 39,000–48,000 won.

If you’re going for the first slot of the day, stay in Yeouido, within a 10-minute walk of the mall. You skip a cross-city subway ride on a cold morning, and if you join the walk-in line you can wait nearby and still reach the entrance in time when called.

FAQ

When does The Hyundai Seoul Christmas village 2026 end?

Is there a Klook fast pass for The Hyundai Seoul Christmas village?

No fast pass or any other Klook listing for the 2026 village was public as of November 4, 2026. Hyundai has only said international visitors can pre-book through Klook; search Klook from November 5.

Are there closed days in 2026?

Some Korean guides list November 26 and December 18 as closed days, citing the event notice. Hyundai's press release does not mention them — confirm in the app or at the mall before you go.

How many people can one booking cover?

Korean guides report up to 4 tickets per account for 2026, one ticket per person. The 2025 walk-in waitlist also took up to 4 people per registration.
